But they still haven't gotten the results they feel they deserve.
So when nothing is working...what do we try and do?!
We do MORE! We cut our calories even lower and restrict the foods we eat even further.
No wonder we associate dieting with misery!!!
But it doesn't have to be that way.
Because there is one essential piece we don't often realize we are missing...that foundation to the pyramid of nutrition success that we are ignoring...
Macros make up all of the foods we eat - they are the nutrients we need in large quantities aka protein, carbs and fat.
And if those macros are out of whack, we may not get the results we want even if we are in a calorie deficit AND focusing on whole, natural foods.
So now you may be thinking..."Ok so you're telling me I need to cut out carbs."
No macro is evil and needs to be cut out!
Actually, I've found that the real secret to dialing in your macros is focusing on PROTEIN!
And guess what?!
Protein is usually what our diet is most deficient in! Heck...the standard diet these days only recommends 20% of our calories come from protein!
But why is protein so key?
