I've searched for the "quick fix" that thing that would make dieting "easy."
I've tried to out exercise my bad eating habits. I've tried depriving myself of all of the foods I love. I've tried cutting my calories to ridiculous levels that would suck the energy right out of me.
All in an attempt to get skinny and achieve the lean looking abs I'd always wanted.
But nothing worked.
I'd go up and down. I'd binge and deprive. I'd gain 20lbs then lose it and more...then I'd go right back up....
And honestly, all I felt was deprived or guilty depending on where I was in my binge and restrict dieting cycle.
I was so confused. I was trying to do what the magazines told me to...I listened to the whole "calories in vs. calories out" mantra. I tried weird supplements...
Why was nothing working for me?!
And that is when I really began doing my research and decided I couldn't keep searching for a short-term solution, but instead needed to find something that would be a lifestyle and stop the yo-yo dieting.
That is when I realized I needed to avoid the "one-size-fits-all" programs and instead dial in my macronutrient ratios. I realized I needed to stop making foods "off limits" and instead figure out a way I could still enjoy the foods I love.
When I finally did this, I developed my Macro Cycling Plan and got the body I wanted - the ABS I wanted. And on top of that, I'm now free of the horrible yo-yo dieting and restrict and binge cycle I'd been stuck in!
